BIOGRAPHY

Marie McAvoy is the Chief Scientific Officer at NanoSyrinx, a senior R&D leader with more than 20 years of drug discovery experience across the biotechnology industry and large pharma. She joined NanoSyrinx from GSK, where she spent seven years in senior positions developing cell and gene therapies.

Marie has a particular interest in developing new technologies with the potential to become transformative medicines, including oncolytic viruses, novel antibody formats, and delivery technologies. Her expertise spans safety, efficacy, and manufacturing across multiple therapeutic modalities.
